While psychotherapy includes biofeedback, neurofeedback and hypnosis, many people think of “talking” therapy when they think of psychotherapy. This is the kind of therapy which requires examining thoughts, feelings and behaviors and to develop insight into connections between different parts of a person's life. While not as direct as cognitive behavior therapy there are some problems which really benefit from this kind of work. While the past often plays a part in insight-oriented therapy, it is possible to stay focused on the present and it does not have to take an endless amount of time. |
